Master the rule of the thirds
Master the rule of the thirds
The rule of thirds is one of the important rule in photography. It basically allows one to concentrate on the subject. It entails breaking your photography into thirds, both horizontally and vertically. This will form nine equal rectangles with four intersections points. This is where you should place the main subjects or the specific points of interest in your scene.

This works well on landscapes where you place the horizon one of the horizontal lines that sit in the lower and upper part of the photograph while you are vertical subjects like a mountain can be placed on one of the two vertical lines.
